As the name—Yunosuke’s Hotel—shows, we are the descendants of Yunosuke, a manager of the hot spring of the Tamatsukuri Onsen Spa in the Edo period, and have been maintaining it since then.
The history of Chorakuen is the history of the Tamatsukuri Onsen Spa.

Ryugu-no-Yu boasts a floor area of 395m², and is a large, mixed-gender open-air bath that Chorakuen is proud of, made possible only by Yunosuke of Tamatsukuri Onsen.
The gardens, filled with hundreds of species of trees and plants, are also an important part of Chorakuen's hospitality.
Dotted throughout the garden are a large mixed-gender open-air bath, detached guest rooms, the throne room associated with Emperor Showa, and special mountain villa rooms.

We prepare our dishes with care using seasonal ingredients unique to Sanin, including Sanin specialties such as crab, blackthroat seaperch, Shimane Wagyu beef, and Izumo's unique handmade Izumo soba noodles.

Ryugu-no-yu is a huge open-air bath completed in 1909, where fresh hot-spring water is always supplied. This is the largest hot-spring mixed bath facility in Japan.

Ryugu-no-Yu does not have a gender-separated system, so you can always bathe with your whole family or with your boyfriend or girlfriend. At night, the curtain of steam makes it almost impossible to see anything around.

This non-smoking room is for two people and has a bed in a Japanese-style room. It is a corner room in the main building, Taisenkaku. It overlooks the Japanese garden and is rich in seasonal colors.

Dining at Chorakuen is divided into four types: the dining venues "Ran," "Hana," and "Furusato," the private dining room, the tatami room "Wakakusa," and the banquet hall.
The venue varies depending on the accommodation plan, menu, and number of guests.
Izumo Grand Shrine is one of the most ancient and important Shinto shrines in Japan, which is famous as the God of marriage.
Other tourist spots include Matsue Castle on the north of Lake Shinji; Iwami Ginzan Silver Mine, a world heritage site and the largest silver mine in Japan; Adachi Museum of Art, the exhibits of which are selected from the masterpieces of Japanese art; and Mizuki Shigeru Road, where bronze statues of Manga characters, including the famous GeGeGe no Kitaro, welcome visitors.
